"So... growing up on the Cocos Keeling Islands, located 2k plus kilometres off Perth I never thought of making it to University, let alone living in Perth. The mainland + island life-style is so much different. The food, the environment + especially the transport. The island is that small, every family either owns a quad bike or golf buggy to get them around the island. I get homesick every now and then because all my family is there and its fishing ofcourse! Now that I'm here, living the city life and that Uni life, I try my best to not think of home and achieve the best in all my studies to make my KELUARGA (family) proud. Other than that, I feel overwhelmed and very nervous of what's still to come in this JOURNEY of mine :)"
