"OVERWHELMED, EXCITED, NERVOUS and SCARED.

Those are the feelings I had as I took my first steps on the grounds of Curtin University. I never thought I'd made it here, considering the amount of hard work I've put in during my time in year 12 (which was minimal at best). Surprisingly, I've ended up here and I'm getting closer in pursuing my dream as an architect.

Architecture is a very complex discipline, in which careful planning, design and construction is involved. It is what I've always wanted to do. As I look on a table filled rulers, eraser and pencils and as I smell the scent of the ink and the various kinds of paper, I always find myself overjoyed.

First week of uni had been rough for me. I didn't know what to do. I don't know what to do... In my first tutorial, I'm surrounded with people who have the same passion as me. I came in the room without anything with me, just my trusted notebook and pen. I feel like I've disappointed myself.

During the the following weeks, I need to stand upright, do things right and take responsibility in everything I do if I want to survive. I know that THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING."
